Since April of 2016, I have been serving the University of Manitoba in the role of Acting Executive Lead, Indigenous Achievement. Whilst serving in this capacity, I've maintained some connection to the Faculty of Education. I will complete my term as Acting Executive Lead at the end of June 2017, after which I will return to the Faculty as a regular faculty member.

In my time as a professor, I've taught the following courses:

- EDUB 3402 Aboriginal Perspectives and the Curriculum
- EDUB 2500 Themes in Senior Years Education
- EDUB 5220 The Aboriginal Experience and Canada: History and Issues
- EDUB 5230 Aboriginal Perspectives in Language and Literacy
- EDUB 7270 Culture, Citizenship and Curriculum
- EDUC 7370 Seminar in Education for Sustainability and Well-Being
- EDUB 7350 Topics in Indigenous Education: Treaty Rights and Government Policy

I continue to carry out a program of research that focuses on the localization of perspectives in Manitoba schools.  Specifically, I have begun to research community sustainability of indigenous languages - work that is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. My scholarly work is supported by my participation in the Manitoba Education Research Network's indigenous education working group. I am currently past-president of the Canadian Association for Studies in Indigenous Education - an association within the Canadian Society for Studies in Education.
